- How much does a NetRehair cost?
- A rehair for a violin, viola or cello bow costs $70. Please inquire for bass bow rehair pricing..
- What
is the turnaround time for my bow rehair?
- If we have your bow before the date you have
scheduled online, it will be done on your assigned day.
If your bow arrives without a scheduled rehair date, we will assign it
to the next available rehair appointment.
***Please note that if extra work is needed, the expected turnaround
time will increase.
- What
quality of horsehair do you use?
- We use only one grade of horsehair —
the very
best available.
- Is
my bow
insured?
- Your bow will be fully insured while in our
possession and will
also be insured in transit back to you.*
However, we do
recommend that you insure your bow when shipping to NetRehair. Check
with your insurer to see if it is covered, or add insurance with your
shipper.
- Is
the work being done on my bow
guaranteed?
- Yes. All work done in our workshop is
guaranteed
without question.
- Will
my bow
be cleaned and polished as part of the rehair service, or is
there an
extra charge?
- We take a great deal of pride in our work and
consider a thorough, professional rehair to include returning the bow
cleaned, polished, rosined and looking its best.

I ship my
bow in a bow case?
- We recommend the use of our specially designed
NetRehair tube. Most bow cases are not designed for shipping purposes.
- I
have my
own
shipping materials. Should I use those?
- We recommend the use of our specially designed
NetRehair tube. Some other shipping materials do not provide adequate
protection.
- How
can I
track the progress of my bow rehair?
- You will receive an email notification when
your bow has been received, when the bow rehair is complete, and when
the
bow rehair has been shipped.
- What
will happen if I don't schedule a rehair date?
- If you place a rehair order without choosing a
date, your rehair will automatically be scheduled for the next
available appointment.
- Could you
please explain the shipping costs and
time exactly?
- We have three standard options for shipping:
-United
States Postal Service Priority Mail
(2–3 days), for $11.50.
-FedEx Ground (1–5 days depending on your
location), for $12.95.
-FedEx 2-day (2 days for most locations in
the United States) for $19.95
Please call us for other shipping options: Overnight, UPS,
etc.
- Does
NetRehair do other repairs on bows?
- Yes, we do all manner of repairs and
restorations on bows. Please let us know if you would like a free
estimate once we receive your bow.
- Is
bow work
all that NetRehair does?
- No, NetRehair is a service of Pasewicz String
Instrument, Inc. We are a full service workshop of violin makers, bow
makers, restorers, musicians and other string instrument professionals.
Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00–5:00
and
Saturdays 10:00–3:00 EST., 919-858-0429.

shipment is insured up to $50,000. If the value of your bow (or the
